La Chambre des métiers et de l’artisanat objet d'une bataille qui paralyse ses activités.
Créée par la loi N°027/2018 du 11 juin 2019 portant orientation de la politique nationale de l'artisanat en République Gabonaise, cette institution dont la mission est d'encadrer les activités des opérateurs dans les métiers de l'artisanat connaît, depuis sa création, des conflits internes liés aux partage des responsabilités dévolues aux différents membres qui composent le bureau.
La volonté des uns de parvenir à une meilleure lisibilité de actions de cette institution semble se heurter aux pratiques mafieuses de certains membres qui veulent garder la Chambre des métiers et de l’artisanat dans une sorte de chienlit. Une situation de quasi chaos qui profitent à des personnalités qui ont été placées aux postes de direction par l’ancien régime et qui donnent l’impression d’avoir pour unique mission que de blanchir l'argent mis à disposition par les bailleurs de fonds internationaux.
Sauf que les intentions inavouées de l'ancienne garde de l'institution fait face à la détermination de Serge Hapita alias Tchozo. Cet opérateur économique, connu comme artisant et vendeur de chausseur de luxe a été porté, par ses pairs, à la tête de la Chambre des métiers et de l’artisanat.
Depuis son élection, le nouveau président fait face à une lutte de pouvoir et une guerre d’intérêts menée par la directrice générale de la Chambre des métiers et de l'artisanat, dame Rachelle Ebanet, révèlent plusieurs sources. Conséquence de cette crise au sommet, les activités de la Chambre sont pratiquement arrêtées.
Pire, dénoncent certains opérateurs, d’importantes sommes d'argent qui ont été décaissées entre 2021 et 2022, n’ont pas servi aux financement d’un programme d’actions. « Cet argent a été décaissé sans que de véritables actions aient été réalisées au bénéfice des opérateurs économiques du secteur », se désole un membre de la Chambre.
Tenez pour exemple, les 600 millions de FCFA débloqués par les partenaires internationaux, devant servir au financement des opérateurs du secteur, ont pris une destination inconnue. Il se dit que d’anciens membres du gouvernement avec la complicité de certains membres de la direction générale ont détourné cet argent en finisant des associations fictives.
Devant autant de malversations, les représentants des organisations patronales demandent l’intervention de l’actuel ministre du Commerce et des PME. Ce, afin que le président élu puisse travailler en toute quiétude. Loin des manigance de certains qui ont plongé cette institution dans la léthargie.
