En faisant d'elle la présidente honoraire de la Cour constitutionnelle, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema a-t-il voulu absoudre tous les péchés d'Israël commis par celle qui, plus de trente ans durant, était au service du clan Bongo, en dépit de ses dénégations ? Sûrement. Sauf que le nouvel homme fort du Gabon a minimisé le niveau de révulsion que suscite Marie Madeleine Mborantsuo au sein de l’opinion gabonaise.
C'est bien elle qui est la cause de la situation que connaît le Gabon. Car, si en 2018, à la suite de l'AVC dont avait été victime Ali Bongo Ondimba, à Ryad, elle avait mis en mouvement l'application de l'article 13 de la Constitution, comme le lui demandait, à juste titre, le Premier ministre Franck Emmanuel Issozet Ngondet, nous n'aurions pas eu droit à sept années supplémentaire d’une gestion calamiteuse du pouvoir d'Ali Bongo Ondimba.
Si les voies d’Oligui Nguema sont insondables, en décidant, en toute souveraineté, de réhabiliter cette femme, le Président de la Transition a pris le risque de se saborder et de foutre en l’air toutes les actions entreprises jusqu’ici pour redonner aux Gabonais leur dignité et conduire le pays sur la voie du développement. En cinq mois, le Président de la Transition a pourtant engagé les chantiers et pris des décisions qui vont dans le sens de l’amélioration des conditions de vie des Gabonais. Il n’avait donc pas besoin de s’embarrasser de l’image d’une femme détestée par le peuple. Il l’a vite compris en décidant de faire annuler cette décision.
Pour autant, comment expliquer que son entourage n’a pu se rendre compte de l’impopularité de cette décision ? Pourquoi les collaborateurs du chef de l’Etat ne l’ont pas empêché de commettre une telle « bêtise » ? Diantre ! Que fait l’entourage du chef de l’Etat ?
Doit-on rappeler à ces derniers que le rôle du collaborateur d’une autorité, au demeurant un Chef de l’Etat, est de le protéger. Le protéger des actions qui peuvent ternir son image et plomber sa crédibilité auprès du peuple. Or, sur cette affaire, le Secrétaire général de la présidence de la République, Guy Rossatanga-Rignault, le Directeur de cabinet du Président de la Transition, Arthur Lemami et le Ministre chargé de mission et porte-parole du CTRI, le Colonel Ulrich Manfoumbi Manfoumbi n’ont pas joué leur rôle. L’entourage d’Oligui Nguema l’a laissé s’engouffrer dans une démarche qui, aujourd’hui, lui vaut des critiques acerbes au point que le CTRI soit confondu à une sorte de Parti démocratique gabonais bis.
Pire, au lieu de tirer toutes les conséquences du tollé que cette nomination a suscité, le Conseiller spécial du Président de la transition en charge de la communication, Télesphore Obame Ngomo, a tenté de la justifier, en prétextant qu’il s’agissait premièrement du respect de la loi et qu’en outre, l’on ne devait pas jeter aux orties Marie-Madeleine Mborantsuo. Un argumentaire spécieux qui n’a servi, en toute évidence, qu’à enfoncer un peu plus le président de la Transition. Le Conseiller spécial du président de la République a donné l’impression, lors de ses sorties médiatiques, qu’il s’agissait de l’application stricte de la loi alors que cette décision était subordonnée à la prise d’un décret par le président de la République.
Les sorties de Télesphore Obame Ngomo et Max Olivier Obame (porte-parole du président de la Transition) donnaient l’impression que les deux hommes étaient mobilisés non pour défendre Oligui Nguema mais Marie Madeleine Mborantsuo dont ils sont des proches.
On est même tenté de croire que le chef département communication et le porte-parole du président de la Transition ont été les artisans de cette nomination impopulaire.
