Le Chef de l'Etat remettant les bourses aux élèves du Lycée Léon Mba.
Libreville, le 31 janvier 2024. Chose promise, chose due. Le Président de la Transition, Président de la République Chef de l'État a procédé ce jour au lancement du paiement des bourses scolaires aux élèves méritants.
Annoncée le 4 septembre 2023 par le Président de la Transition dans son discours d'investiture, cette mesure a été rendue effective ce jour conformément à l'arrêté n°000/PM du 8 janvier 2024, en ses 6 premiers articles portant ouverture de la bourse d'étude aux élèves de l'enseignement secondaire.
Cette première phase qui concerne près de 86 512 élèves des établissements secondaires publics répartis sur l'ensemble du territoire national permettra de récompenser les élèves ayant obtenu une moyenne supérieure ou égale à 12/20 pour le premier cycle et 11/20 pour le second cycle.
Pour joindre l'acte à la parole, le Général Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema qui prône la restauration des valeurs et l'excellence pour la jeunesse gabonaise a effectué le déplacement du Lycée National Léon Mba et du Lycée Technique National Omar Bongo Ondimba où il s'est imprégné de l'effectivité de ladite opération et a remis de façon symbolique la bourse a quelques élèves en présence des membres du gouvernement qui prendront le relais sur le reste des établissements.
En guise de remerciements pour cette mesure salutaire, les bénéficiaires ont, à travers leurs mots de bienvenue et quelques prestations scéniques tenu à exprimer leur profonde gratitude au Président de la République qu'ils considèrent comme leur « Héros » et père tout en s'engageant à relever le défi de l'excellence.
Pour rappel, le retour de cette allocation d'études qui avait été suspendue en 2017, constitue une action à fort impact social visant à accompagner et soutenir notre jeunesse ainsi que leurs familles.
A l'issue de ces instants conviviaux, le Chef de l'État a exhorté les bénéficiaires à redoubler d'efforts dans leur travail car sur eux repose, la construction du Gabon de demain.
