Le Gabon, cette terre où les transitions politiques sont censées rimer avec liberté et renouveau, vient d’offrir un spectacle digne des plus belles heures du passé. Ali Akbar Onanga Y’Obegue, ex-ministre et désormais secrétaire général du PDG « légal », devait s’exprimer ce mardi 4 février 2025 sur Radio Gabon. Devait. Car, ô surprise, son micro a été coupé avant même qu’il n’ait eu le temps d’éclaircir l’état de la crise qui ronge son propre parti. En cause ? Une censure de dernière minute, visiblement orchestrée par le Comité pour la Transition et la Restauration des Institutions (CTRI). Officiellement, la transition gabonaise s’engage vers une démocratie apaisée et transparente. Officieusement, certains y voient un savant recyclage des pratiques d’antan, agrémenté d’un vernis réformateur.
Le PDG, ce parti qui refuse de mourir… et qui intrigue
Que l’on aime ou pas Ali Akbar Onanga Y’Obegue, il faut reconnaître qu’il a du flair. Il a vu venir la vague et a tenté de surfer dessus, en conservant un PDG « conforme aux statuts ». Mais visiblement, tout le monde n’a pas la même lecture de la légitimité. Depuis le 7 mars 2024, le parti se déchire entre ceux qui veulent tourner la page en douceur et ceux qui tiennent à rappeler que l’histoire ne s’écrit pas avec des ratures.
Lui, en tout cas, voulait en parler sur Radio Gabon. Mauvaise idée. On l’imagine déjà, répétant son discours devant son miroir, peaufinant chaque phrase, rêvant de ce moment où il pourrait poser LA question fatidique : « Pourquoi le CTRI, qui a chassé le PDG du pouvoir, semble aujourd’hui lui aménager une place confortable dans la transition ? » Réponse du CTRI : silence radio… ou plutôt, radio réduite au silence.
Transition : le changement sans rupture ?
Soyons sérieux deux minutes. Cette annulation de dernière minute n’est pas qu’un simple désagrément pour un ancien ministre frustré. Elle révèle une réalité plus profonde : le Gabon post-30 août 2023 jongle avec une transition dont les règles du jeu semblent se réécrire au gré des intérêts du moment.
Rappelons les promesses du putsch : rupture avec le passé, démocratie restaurée, libertés garanties. À ce stade, il est légitime de se demander si le « R » du CTRI signifie réellement « Restauration des Institutions » ou plutôt « Recyclage des Intérêts ». En interdisant à un leader politique de s’exprimer, le CTRI envoie un signal limpide : certaines vérités ne sont pas bonnes à dire, surtout lorsqu’elles touchent aux alliances tacites et aux petits arrangements entre factions rivales.
Un PDG hors du pouvoir… mais toujours influent ?
Ali Akbar Onanga Y’Obegue n’a pas manqué d’appuyer là où ça fait mal : « Si le PDG a été chassé du pouvoir pour mauvaise gestion, pourquoi le retrouve-t-on encore en coulisses ? » Question légitime, tant il est vrai que les vieux réseaux ont la peau dure.
Officiellement, le CTRI fait table rase du passé. Officieusement, il semblerait que certaines connexions soient trop précieuses pour être rompues. La transition devait être un grand ménage de printemps ; elle risque plutôt de ressembler à un simple déplacement de meubles.
Censure, le retour : un mauvais signal
On pouvait penser que les censures brutales appartenaient à une époque révolue. Visiblement, certains boutons « OFF » fonctionnent encore très bien. Onanga Y’Obegue parle d’une « atteinte grave à la liberté d’expression ». Et il n’a pas tort.
Car si un ancien ministre, pourtant sans véritable pouvoir exécutif aujourd’hui, ne peut pas parler sur une radio nationale, que reste-t-il pour le citoyen lambda ? Faut-il désormais une carte de membre d’un cercle influent pour espérer avoir droit au micro ? En attendant, ni le CTRI ni la faction concurrente du PDG n’ont daigné répondre officiellement à cette affaire. C’est bien connu : en politique, le silence est parfois plus éloquent qu’un long discours.
Ils ne peuvent pas répondre, ils n’ont aucun support juridique. Ils font les choses dans l’émotion et non dans la logique des choses. Attitude de basse cours…
