Comme un couperet, la nouvelle est tombée. Le journaliste et présentateur télé de grand talent, Joël Franck Nkoulou est décédé dans la nuit du 27 au 28 février 2024 des suites d’un malaise. A 46 ans, celui qui a fait la grande partie de sa carrière au sein du groupe TV+ dirigé par l’ancien ministre, Franck Nguema, quitte la terre des hommes sans avoir perçu la totalité de ses droits. Avec d’autres de ses confrères, Joël Franck Nkoulou avait été licencié du groupe où il a passé plus de 15 ans de carrière. Franck Nguema évoquait des prétendus « difficultés financières » pour justifier ces licenciements.
Si Franck Nguema avait réglé, avant leur départ, l’ensemble des arriérés de salaire des agents, jusqu’à ce jour, l’ancien ministre des Sports d’Ali Bongo a été incapable de solder les droits des agents mis à la porte.
Las d’attendre, plusieurs des agents licenciés avaient pris le chemin de la justice pour exiger le paiement d’une enveloppe avoisinant les 20 millions de Fcfa. Une enveloppe qui correspondait à l’ensemble des droits des agents. « Cela a trop duré. Eux-mêmes (les membres de la direction Ndlr) ont fait une demande de licenciement auprès de l'inspection du travail. Laquelle entité avait donné son accord. Mais nous sommes surpris que, jusqu’à ce jour, Franck Nguema est incapable de nous payer notre argent, moins de 5 millions de Fcfa chacun », s’indignait un des agents licenciés rencontré par la rédaction de Top Infos Gabon.
Outre ce drame, le personnel non-licencié est depuis assis à la maison en espérant des lendemains meilleurs. Sauf que l’avenir de ces agents se conjuguent désormais au « futur incertain ». Nombre d’entre eux cumulent plusieurs mois d’impayés de salaire avec des conséquences néfastes sur leur vie.
Comble du ridicule, alors que Franck Nguema et les membres de la direction de la télévision annonçaient la reprise des activités au plus vite, à ce jour, c’est le silence radio. C’est vraiment honteux !
