Le bureau de l'ANFG dénonce les avanies que subissent les joueurs locaux.
A l’occasion d’une déclaration de presse donnée ce lundi 15 novembre, les joueurs locaux à travers l’association nationale des footballeurs gabonais (Anfg), ont appelé à la reprise du championnat national de football. Ce, avant la fin du mois de décembre 2021. L’association a, à cette occasion, indiqué qu’il y a aujourd’hui 800 familles en situation de précarité du fait du chômage technique occasionné par l’arrêt des compétitions domestiques. D’autant qu’après cette décision aucune mesure n’a été prise par l’exécutif pour permettre aux joueurs de continuer à vivre.
Mais au lieu de cela, les joueurs et les membres du bureau de l’Anfg qui ont organisé des manifestations à Franceville, ont fait l’objet d’arrestations par les éléments des forces de l’ordre et de sécurité. Pourtant, l’Anfg tentait à travers cette action de rencontrer les joueurs de l’équipe nationale pour demander leur soutien dans ce mouvement de revendication. Hélas. La Fegafoot d’après l’Afng aurait porté plainte contre le groupe de manifestants. Ce qui fait dire à l’association que dès qu’un joueur revendique, on l’enferme à la DGR.
L’affaire n’a d’ailleurs pas fini de faire grand bruit et de susciter l’indignation dans l’opinion. En solidarité à cette action, Didier Ibrahim Ndong, cadre de la sélection nationale, a ouvertement refusé de prendre part au match de Franceville contre La Libye qui a eu lieu le samedi 13 novembre dernier.
Le sociétaire du club de Yeni Malatyaspor indiquait à cet effet sur sa page Facebbok : « la notion de solidarité est celle qui m'habite le plus. Loin d'être un hypocrite, je ne serais pas à Franceville pour la simple et bonne raison qu'en aucun cas je ne tolère les arrestations de Stéphane Nguema et d'autres anciens joueurs internationaux. Pour avoir milité pour le retour du championnat local, Stéphane Nguema a été lâchement arrêté. Mais ils ne se sont pas arrêtés là, en plus de ça, ils l'ont gardé toute la nuit dans un poste de gendarmerie du Haut-Ogooué. Pour moi c'est inadmissible, Stéphane a porté haut les couleurs du Gabon, il est un exemple pour moi, mieux une fierté nationale. Il a tout mon soutien. Pour marquer ce soutien, j'ai refusé de monter dans l'avion qui mène à Franceville. Je suis comme ça, je suis entier, je suis Ibrahim Ndong et je soutiens Stéphane Nguema et la reprise du Championnat National. » Tout est dit.
