Le site en ligne Dépêche 241 et par la suite le journal La Cigale Enchantée vienent de révéler, tour à tour, une affaire qui s’apparente à un scandale financier dans le monde du sport. Franck Nguema a rendu public les états financiers des subventions attribués aux fédérations alors que celles-ci ne reconnaissent pas avoir reçu les montants communiqués par le ministre des Sports. Où est passé l’argent ?
Avec Franck Nguema à la tête du ministère des Sports, les athlètes gabonais ont l’impression que la mythomanie a été érigée en sport national. Tenez, le mardi 13 septembre dernier, après la publication par le journal l’Union d’un article remettant en cause la gestion des fonds au ministère des Sports, Franck Nguema va décider de son propre chef de rendre publiques les lignes budgétaires attribuées aux fédérations sportives nationales hors football. Des fonds concernant les quatre dernières années. Bonne nouvelle en apparence d’autant que cet exercice vise à faire la démonstration de la bonne gestion de l’argent du contribuable dans ce département.
Sauf que très vite, l’affaire va tourner au vinaigre pour le ministre. Certains responsables de fédérations ne vont pas se reconnaître dans les états publiés par le ministre sur la place publique. C’est le cas de Léopold Aimé Evah, président de la Fédération gabonaise de basketball entre 2017 et 2020. Ce dernier va ouvertement démentir avoir reçu les budgets attribués par le ministère à sa fédération lors de l’exercice 2019-2020, soit 16 millions 687 mille 100 Fcfa pour la première année et 79 millions 875 mille 280 Fcfa pour la seconde. « En ma qualité d’ancien président de la Fédération gabonaise de basketball, concerné par les exercices 2019 et 2020, je ne me reconnais pas dans les chiffres qui ont été avancés par le ministère des Sports », va-t-il déclarer chez nos confrères du site en ligne Dépêche 241.
L’ancien président va plus loin, en indiquant, preuves à l’appui, que lors des exercices 2019 et 2020, la fédération qu’il dirigeait n’avait pas reçu de subvention de la part du ministère des Sports. Pour preuve, Léopold Aimé Evah présente les rapports financiers de la Fegabab, lesquels attestent qu’aucune subvention n’a été reversée à cette fédération. « Les rapports financiers sont transmis au Directeur général des Sports. Et dans ces rapports, il est écrit, noir sur blanc, que la Fédération gabonaise de Basketball n’a reçu aucune subvention en 2019 et 2020 », rajoute l’ancien président.
Questions : Où sont donc passés les 95 millions de Fcfa destinés à la Fegabab ? Qui aurait reçu cet argent prétendument sorti des caisses de l’Etat ? Le ministre, rattrapé par ses turpitudes, a été jusqu’ici silencieux, alors que d’autres présidents de fédérations indiquent eux aussi que les montants publiés par le ministre ne correspondent pas à l’argent qu’ils ont réellement reçu. La preuve qu’il y a bel et bien eu des détournements de fonds dans cette affaire.
