Geneviève a été tuée par l'éboulement qui venait de détruire leur chambre à coucher
Provoqué par un éboulement, un drame s'est produit dans la nuit du lundi 27 au mardi 28 novembre 2023 au Pk8, un quartier du 5e arrondissement de Libreville. La victime est Geneviève Nyamsi, une ressortissante Camerounaise, laquelle vivait en couple avec son compatriote, César Nyamsi.
Le drame est survenu au cours de la pluie diluvienne qui s'est abattue à Libreville le lundi 27 novembre courant.
Selon les informations recueillies sur place, il était 22 heures, lorqu'endormi, le couple Nyamsi est surpris par un violent bruit derrière leur chambre. Réveillé en sursaut, César Nyamsi constate que le mur arrière de la la chambre était tombé sur une partie de leur lit conjugal, donc sur une partie du corps de sa femme. Il va tenter de la réveiller, mais elle ne donnera aucun signe de vie. Devant la gravité de la situation, le père de famille sort de la chambre pour alerter le voisinage. À son retour, le pire va se produire. Le reste du mur et la boue vont tomber sur Geneviève. L'ensemble de son corps sera complètement englouti.
"Lorsque nous sommes arrivés au lieu du drame, la situation était insoutenable. Pour sortir le corps des décombres, nous avons pris plusieurs heures. C'est autour de 24h à 1h du matin que le corps a été sorti des décombres ", a indiqué un voisin.
La dépouille de Geneviève a été, aussitôt, transportée dans une maison de pompes funèbres. Encore traumatisé, le mari de la défunte a passé le reste de la nuit en larmes. Le matin, le veuf n'a pu rien récupérer. Tous les biens ont été détruits par l'éboulement.
Un drame qui rappelle celui ayant coûté la vie à toute une famille au même quartier, il y a quelques années. Une situation qui mérite des actions fortes de la part des nouvelles autorités du pays. Notamment, la possibilité de déguerpir et reloger les populations installées dans les zones à risques.
