Suite à une récente publication dans les réseaux sociaux du Collectif des Ressortissants et Écologistes des Plateaux Batéké (CREPB) qui a organisé une conférence de presse le samedi 2 décembre 2023 avec pour thème central : « Tentative d’accaparement des terres des plateaux Batéké pour la plantation des Eucalyptus : Etat de lieux, Enjeux et Perspectives » nous souhaitons apporter des éclaircissements sur ce qui relève de nos activités.
Olam Palm Gabon et Olam Rubber Gabon sont explicitement engagées dans les plantations de palmier à huile et d'hévéa et sont installées uniquement dans les provinces de l’Estuaire, le Moyen-Ogooué, la Ngounié et le Woleu-Ntem.
Il est important de rappeler qu’ Olam est souvent cité dans des activités auxquelles elle ne se reconnaît pas. Il est donc important, pour nous, de dénoncer cette confusion qui a souvent eut pour but que de tenter à tenir notre image de marque.
C'est dans cette logique que nous condamnons avec force et dénonçons cet énième acte posé contre notre entreprise par l'information mentionnée dans le communiqué de presse du collectif concernant notre installation dans le Haut-Ogooué. Ceci n'est que pure affabulation et ne correspondant pas à la réalité.

Avec 10,800 hectares plantés, Olam Rubber Gabon détient la plus grande plantation d'hévéa du monde gérée par une entreprise privée. Nous employons 575 personnes et avons contribué aux investissements à hauteur de 95%.
