Une vue de la cérémonie de signature du contrat entre la GSEZ et ma SEEG.
Libreville, le 16 mai 2023. Le ministre de l’Energie et des Ressources hydrauliques, Oswald Séverin Mayounou, a présidé la cérémonie de signature d’un un contrat d'achat d'énergie entre la Société d'énergie et d'eau du Gabon (SEEG) et GSEZ en vue de l'alimentation et le fonctionnement de la Zone économique de IKOLO et la ville de Lambaréné.
De manière spécifique, la Société d'énergie et d'eau du Gabon fournira une puissance de 2 Mégawatts à GSEZ via, le réseau interconnecté de la centrale thermique de Lambaréné.
Gustave Aimé Mayi, le Directeur général de la SEEG revient sur les enjeux et les contours de cette convention. « La mission de la SEEG est de produire, transporter et distribuer l’eau et l’électricité sur l’ensemble du territoire. Nous venons de signer un contrat de fourniture d’énergie avec GSEZ, aux fins d’alimenter la Zone économique de IKOLO en électricité. C’est un dossier que nous avons traité avec beaucoup de diligence et de célérité. Parce qu’il fallait rapidement que nous arrivions à la signature de ce contrat. Nous avons un délai de trois mois pour réaliser les travaux. Au niveau de Lambaréné, nous nous attelons déjà à renforcer les capacités de production de la centrale. Par ailleurs, ce contrat inclut également le tarif que nous avons conclu de commun accord ».
Pour Jensen Opolo, représentant GZES, « la signature de cette convention marque une étape importante dans le mise en oeuvre de la Zone économique de IKOLO. En outre, elle permet de résoudre un problème crucial qui est celui de l’alimentation en énergie de cet espace industriel »
Présent à cette cérémonie, le ministre de la Promotion des Investissements, des Partenariats Public-Privé, Hugues Mbadinga Madiya a tenu à saluer la synergie interministérielle qui a conduit à ce partenariat scellé. Non sans se féliciter de la promptitude avec laquelle le ministère de l'Energie et des Ressources Hydrauliques a conduit le dossier.
Pour le ministre de l’Energie et des Ressources hydrauliques, Oswald Séverin Mayounou, la Zone économique de IKOLO est un bassin à forte valeur ajoutée. Selon lui, cette cérémonie de signature témoigne de la volonté du gouvernement conduit par le Premier ministre, Alain Claude Billie-Bi-Nze, à accompagner les investisseurs, créateurs d'emplois et de richesse dans notre pays, cheval de bataille du Président de la République, Ali Bongo Ondimba.
Ce partenariat gagnant-gagnant pour les deux signataires constitue également un signal fort pour les investisseurs de la zone économique de IKOLO. Il leur a, de ce fait, assuré de son soutien à travers la prise en compte et le renforcement des capacités en matière énergétique et hydraulique, afin de faciliter leurs différentes activités.
Pour rappel, la GSEZ Ikolo a été créée en juin 2021. Les travaux de construction qui ont démarrés le mois suivant devraient générer entre 1 500 et 2 000 emplois. Cette zone économique à régime spécial projette d’exporter 300 à 400 conteneurs de bois transformés par mois, générant ainsi de la valeur ajoutée pour le pays.
GSEZ Ikolo est orientée sur les métiers de transformation du bois tels que le sciage, le placage et contreplaqué, la fabrication de meubles, la production de pâte à papier… Elle a exporté 500 containers de feuilles de placage entre mars et mai 2022.
