Une vue de la délégation d'OTIMA et de GSEZ au Centre d'Accueil.
Situé au nord de Libreville dans la commune d'Akanda, le Centre d'Accueil pour Enfants en Difficultés Sociales d'Angondjé (CAPEDS) a été hôte, le 02 juin 2023, de l'association OTIMA en collaboration avec la société Gabon Special Économic Zone (GSEZ) dans le cadre de leurs activités sociales et humanitaires.
Organisme placé sous tutelle du ministère de la Santé et des Affaires sociales, le CAPEDS accueille des enfants de toutes nationalités en difficultés sociales dont l'âge varie de 0 à 18 ans.
Madame Minfoume Nicolette, directrice générale adjointe de ladite institution s'est dite réjouie de la dotation du mobilier faite par GSEZ et OTIMA. "Rappelons que le centre accueille et scolarise les enfants en difficultés sociales, c'est-à-dire les enfants abandonnés et/ou victimes de maltraitance et les enfants de la rue. Aujourd'hui, nous sommes heureux d'avoir reçu 22 tables et 81 chaises et les travaux du réfectoire du centre ont été faits, car celui-ci ne répondait plus aux normes hygiéniques adéquates. Ce don nous est vraiment favorable d'autant que nous éprouvions déjà des difficultés pour installer nos enfants au moment de leur servir des repas" a déclaré Nicolette Minfoumane, directrice générale adjointe du CAPEDS.
"Actuellement nous avons plus de 80 enfants en charge au CAPEDS. Ce chiffre pourrait augmenter dans les prochains jours" a conclu la DGA.
Quant à l'association OTIMA dont les œuvres caritatives ne sont plus à démontrer, cette action de plus est une manière d'accompagner le gouvernement dans son élan de solidarité envers les plus démunies.
"OTIMA est une association qui milite pour la défense du droit des enfants au Gabon. Nous intervenons soit dans les actions sociales, soit dans les actions de plaidoyer. Nous accompagnons le CAPEDS depuis sa création, il y a environ trois ans. Aujourd'hui nous sommes ici pour le don fait par GSEZ sous l'impulsion de notre association. Ce nouveau réfectoire servira pour une meilleure prise en charge des enfants résidant au CAPEDS " a déclaré Mme Emma Bisseck, secrétaire générale de l'association OTIMA.
Pour information, GSEZ et OTIMA ne sont pas à leurs premières actions au CAPEDS. Il y a quelques mois déjà le centre avait reçu une salle de jeux équipée de mobiliers modernes et d'appareils ludiques.
