Les populations de Mimongo exigent la route.

Située au sommet d'une montagne, Mimongo présente un paysage paradisiaque animé par des pentes et des nombreuses vallées. Un panorama idyllique qui contrastre avec la tristesse de la vie quotidienne manifeste à travers la précarité des populations.
Concentrées sur un périmètre réduit, des vieilles bâtisses témoignent de l'histoire d'un passé meilleur qu’un présent devenu sombre. Les quelques bâtiments administratifs qui, pour la plupart, datent de la période coloniale, révèlent l’absence d’investissements structuraux dans l’ensemble du département. Les bâtiments de la préfecture, de l'hôpital, du trésor public, du conseil départemental et municipal tombent les uns après les autres en ruine. Dans l’indifférence totale des politiques.
Une triste réalité qui ne manque pas de susciter les plaintes des populations : « Nous travaillons dans des conditions insupportables. Etre affecté ici relève ni plus ni moins d’une punition voire d’une sanction divine. » s'indigne un agent récemment affecté dans la localité.
Un peu plus loin, c'est le centre hospitalier de Mimongo. Sans clôture, les patients et les animaux domestiques se disputent la cour. On aperçoit des carcasses de véhicules, de vieilles ambulances sur cales noyées dans de hautes herbes. Le décor extérieur que présente cette structure sanitaire, laisse imaginer le pire pour ce qui est du fonctionnement des différents services. Un tour à l’intérieur de la structure fait froid dans le dos ; compresse, bétadine, plateau, paire de gant... il manque de tout dans la structure qui sert d’unité de soins aux populations. Le recours à la médecine traditionnelle reste la seule solution pour des habitants.
Les voiries urbaines, c’est la catastrophe…
Toutes les voies qui relient les différents quartiers de la commune ne sont pas viabilisées. Elles sont juste recouvertes de latérite. Conséquence, les routes sont poussiéreuses en saison sèche et boueuses en saison de pluie. Les habitants résiliés n’ont plus de force pour se plaindre. « Nous n'avons pas droit au bonheur comme les autres. Nous avons été oubliés. », se désole Marcel, un jeune de la localité. Pourtant à ce sujet, l'on apprend qu'une enveloppe estimée à plus de 3 milliards de Fcfa aurait été décaissés pour l'aménagement de la voirie en 2011. Mais un puissant ancien membre du gouvernement, issu d'une autre localité, en complicité avec un fils du coin auraient détourné l'enveloppe. Une affaire qui relève désormais des légendes de Mimongo.
Chômage endémique
Les jeunes frappés par le chômage quittent par vague la commune de l'Ogoulou pour d'autres villes où la vie semble meilleure. « Il n'y a pas de travail. Même si tu essaies de te débrouiller à faire ta pêche, et vendre ta banane, c'est souvent difficile d'écouler ton produit et en tirer profit. Il n'y a non plus de route pour aller vendre nos produits à Mouila. Nous n'avons pas d'autres choix que d'attendre que Dieu nous retire le souffle de vie pour mettre fin à cette misère », réagit Mondô, une jeune mère de famille. Faut-il attendre que cette localité disparaisse pour réagir ? Les fils de cette contrée ; Alfred Ngoma Madoungou, Daniel Franck Idiata, Alfred Edmond Nziengui Madoungou, Dr Stephane Ilocko, Alain Simplice Boungoueres, Maurice Ndoh Massandé et bien d’autres sont plus que jamais interpellés.
Honnêtement ces gens que vous avez cité, s'en souci tils du peuple ou population de cette contré ? Et pourtant elle leurs a tous donné de la vie politique et..... Maintenant, qu'ils passent a aider ce peuple a l'abandon.
