La recherche scientifique au Gabon vient de se doter d’un nouveau tremplin pour sa visibilité, à travers la création d’une nouvelle revue pluridisciplinaire, dont la présentation du premier numéro s’est effectuée le vendredi 03 mars dernier, à l’Université Omar Bongo.
C’est dans une salle comble de la bibliothèque universitaire que tout le gotha intellectuel de l’UOB s’est réuni pour assister au dévoilement du nouveau-né de la recherche gabonaise et au vernissage du premier numéro de la revue Cahier de la Recherche Africaine, intitulé « L’Afrique en question(s) ».
Cahier de la Recherche Africaine, la voie de la visibilité
Le Cahier de la Recherche Africaine (CRA), soit une revue pluridisciplinaire, couvre les domaines de Lettres, Langues, Arts et Sciences Humaines, est domiciliée à l’UOB et admet un partenariat avec le Groupe EM-Gabon Université. Cette revue est le fruit d’un long processus de coopération entre jeunes enseignants-chercheurs, venus des disciplines différentes mais ayant en commun la volonté de construire un tremplin de visibilité et de diffusion de la recherche scientifique gabonaise, et partant, africaine dans sa généralité.
Pour le Pr Gaël Ndombi-Sow, directeur de publication, « la revue est programmée pour deux numéros l’année et admet les deux formats de publication, soit le format papier et le pan numérique avec un site internet dédié ( www.revue-cra.com ), utile ici pour s’arrimer aux nouvelles normes de diffusion ».
Selon la perspective éditoriale, le cadre du champ africain comme laboratoire d’études n’est pas à considérer comme une restriction, bien au contraire, les abords comparatifs ou combinatoires visant d’autres espaces continentaux sont vivement souhaités dans les articles. C’est ce qui a amené le Pr Arsène Magnima-Kakassa, directeur de la rédaction, a considéré le CRA comme « l’aboutissement d’un projet qui constitue une voie de la visibilité pour les chercheurs africains ».

Il faut également signaler que cette rencontre s’est aussi démarquée par la présentation du premier numéro de la revue, portant le titre assez évocateur de « L’Afrique en question(s) », composé d’une douzaine d’articles, dont la coordination a été assurée par le Pr Arsène Magnima-Kakassa et le Dr Fabrice Anicet Moutangou. Le deuxième numéro quant à lui, est prévu pour le mois de juillet de cette année.
Il est aussi utile d’insister sur le fait que le comité de rédaction accorde une place centrale aux jeunes chercheurs (doctorants et étudiants du second cycle) dans ce programme, en tant que public mais aussi en qualité de contributeur. Naturellement, les contributions les plus attendues sont celles des enseignants-chercheurs et chercheurs, du fait que leur productivité académique est soumise à une compétition continentale à travers les CAMES, tel que l’a signalé le représentant du recteur.
A l’heure où le Gabon doit donc défendre un rang au CAMES, l’université a forcément à cœur d’illustrer son excellence, de démontrer sa capacité à se réformer, afin de répondre toujours mieux aux attentes diverses ; c’est pourquoi tous les chercheurs, les doctorants et les étudiants de master seront les gagnants simultanés d’un tel projet, car au-delà d’une simple publication, cette revue adresse un signal clair à l’opinion sur la science en action au sein de la première université du pays. Le deuxième numéro de cette revue qui étend s’inscrire dans la pérennité paraîtra au mois de juillet de cette année.
